I ordered the BBK shorty equal length headers quite some time ago and never got around to installing them. It came with an air hose and I am wondering what its for. In the instructions it says to modify the smog hoses as shown. What do the headers have to do with that? I know the smog hose connects to the h-pipe but i dont see what it has to do with the headers. Any help? thanks.

 

well the smog hoses run right next to the headers on the passenger side and maybe there isnt enough clearance for them with equal lengths

 

yeah you have to mod the air pump hose so that it doesn't hit the pass. header, the directions have a pic of it... real easy
