tfs2 cam, 1.6 rr. gt40y heads ported, hardened pushrods, cobra intake, intake spacer, 75mm tb, and thats basically it. how do you reset the ecm? And I believe I did an idle relearn. I did this

is that what you mean and idle relearn. No i havnt gotten it tuned yet. but would it run that bad? anybody have a fair estimate on a tune? i havnt checked and im just curius.

and is there no way this is a misfire? like ive said ive dealt with misfires before and they were a definite misfire.

What heads did you use and intake, there are 2 different intake gaskets for that engine depends on what heads you have .they will both go on,and will run,but will give you the surging.rolling you are talking about ...
one set if for the 4.6 and the outer is for a 4.6 with PI heads... Sorry just seen your last post ,must have been typeing when i was ... vac leak some place,

sounds like a major vacuum leak to me... do a smoke test and see...

its not a vacuum leak, i have tested it and i also took it to a mechanic to double check on the vac leak, its throwing a maf code so im goin to replace that and see if that helps.

If this helps I replaced the maf and it helped with the idle and im not burning as rich now. and while driving it bucks real hard unless its at full throttle then it doesnt do it as much.
