ppl think putting the filter in the fender helps over the stock box but it doesnt

it gain is from teh smooth pipe from the airbox/maf to the tb!!!!

cant you just buy the tubes and save money? yea ive even heard putting it in the fender is worse. or i think it was just that it didnt save gas mililage and the air being a little warm saved gas miliage.

tunable inductions, moroso, bbk,all good as long as you put it in the fenderwell the stock sysytem is ok but a cai will improve the feel of the throttle the flat panel is fine for stock

Now wait a minute. Cool air makes more HP. Having the filter in the fender has to be better than one that sits in the engine compartment. I agree that, stock with k&n isn`t any better than a cai with k&n if it wasn`t for the smooth pipe from MAF to TB.
I have made my own cai from filter (in fender) to MAF and I am plannning on getting/making one from MAF to TB to complete it. Can anyone tell me if you need to unbolt your MAF from the fender to allow movement since there is no flex in the pipe? Unlike the stock has?

stock air box breaths cold air from inside the fender. stock box can well easy support 500hp and not be a restriction
