Default fuel pump.....

well i've narrowed down my problem, and have determined its the fuel pump. I know it's inside the fuel tank, but I was curious if anyone on here has replaced their's recently, and the amount of time it usually takes to do the whole job.

how do you know its the pump

easy really, unbolt straps, lower it down slighty unplug hoses, wires and etc. lower it completely and then you need to spin off the retaining clip for the pump and hten pull it out

yea its not hard, if the car is almost full of gas get a friend to help you lower it, tip on the retaning ring, if it dose not tun one way, try turning it the other. i can not rember which way you turn it, but it is really easy to bend up.

I just did it a few days ago, took me and my dad about 2 hours and that was in a low light situation. Its pretty easy really. Just make sure that you dont have more than about a 1/4 tank of gas cuz it is pretty heavy.

1-2 hours to change out the pump. take your time and be sure not to drop anything in the tank while your working.

yeah plug all the holes and take an air hose and blow the tank off, around the locking ring, and any where you will be working.
