I just finished putting on a new heat sheild under the hood of my car and now the hood wont open. I swear every time i do something another thing breaks. I was wondering if anyone knows what might be causing this or knows any tricks to getting it open. I can move the latch handle that comes out and i didnt hear anything break when i closed it.

never mind problem fixed. even though there were no responses i thought i would let yall know. I had to re-attach the cable inside the car to pop the hood.
