Default Brakes

I had a kinda close call a couple days ago and I just realized that the brakes in my 94 GT really do suck. I can't afford like a new brake kit or something like that, so is there any way I can boost the performance for not that much money? I dont need new pads, its just the brakes are pretty bad. Thanks.

Try getting better pads... IE not the 10.99 special. If that doesnt work, go for some slotted rotors... If you really plan on doing some serious stopping, get cross drilled... you know, the ones with the little holes drilled through them.

I found these at Summit - FRPP Brake rotors - do I need to buy anything else or can I just swap out the rotors?

Edit: sorry link didnt work - they are FRPP front rotors (13 inch diamiter), cross drilled and slotted. $219.95. The picture has two rotors but it says sold individualy??? Whats up with that?

Get the slotted rotors, and the greenstuff brake pads from 50resto.com, that's a great combo for quick stopping on a budget. The brake pads are about $100 and the rotors are going to be are $150 depending on which kind you get.
