Default Bama 4 bank eliminator chip

Has anyone used one of these on their FOX. I just bought one and it is on the way. I was told that it will help all of my bolt on mods work together. Just curious of what I should expect once I install it.

Thank you

The hardware itself is great, but the tuning you get from Bama is absolutely horrendous. In the last 3 years, I have retuned probably more than 35 Bama chips. In fact... I did two at Mustang Week last year.

Depending on what mods you currently have, it might not even be worth getting a chip yet.

64bit's right, one of the guys from Bama even told me their tuning is not great. Whoever writes the tune for you has to know what they're doing to get the best possible results from the tune you request. I hope that when you get it that they did a good job, because if not it's a pain to keep sending it back and forth to them, the shipping costs rack up. I'd say most of the time they're not bad but you'll have to just wait and see. Good luck.

Your car doesn't need a tune.

I am a mail order tuner... and I'm suggesting you dont waste your money.

64bit,

why do you say my car doesn't need a tune? I value all your guy's input. I was told a tuner will make all my bolt on mods talk to each other or work with each other. what would you suggest I can do to my car without breaking the bank? I have a set of GT40P heads in my garage that I am getting ready to build and put on

P heads, cam, and then tune

A good tuner could probably get 270hp out of that.

Mike,

The stock ECM does a pretty good job of adapting to minor/bolt on mods. I'm running all the usual bolt on mods for a 5.0, including the "all powerful" worked over E7 heads lol. My car has never been tuned. My A/F ratio is spot on at all throttle positions, driveability is very good, and even returns mid 20's for gas mileage. I'm not saying a tune wouldn't hurt, but I'm very happy with the way it runs now.

All this is assuming the the motor is running in top condition,...... no vacuum leaks, .....no codes, etc.
