Default Antenna base 1995 Mustang GT

So I have a small issue with the antenna base on my 1995 being loose . I took a screwdriver and a tee shirt and popped off the black cap to try and tighten the 3 screws up underneath it. Of the 3 screws only 1 of them would tighten up. Other 2 just spin in place. Few questions I have are do these screws go directly into the fender or is there a plate inside the fender that they thread into to hold the base in place. Also if I need to replace the base where could I order one? Googled online and couldn't find any for the 1995. Also another issue I have is the base don't seem to be fitting flushed to my fender. This might be due to the blots being lose or could that plastic ring under the base cap be warped? When I popped the black cap off I used the blade of a screwdriver covered with a tee shirt and I think I got the screwdriver blade between the fender and the bottom of the antenna base.

I can't remember there being a plate under the fender on my Fox, but I'd just find the next biggest screw from a hardware store and snug them up. Easy peasy......Good luck
