93 LX 5.0 Convertib
Hey Cody and crew...

I am new to the forums and wanted to log in say hey. I purchased a 93 LX this summer from the original owner. It has 46k miles on it and is in very good shape. Everything is original - cherry red with a white top.

For any of you out there in Indiana, I had to put my Purdue license plate on it just to offset the IU Hoosier colors.

I am interested in putting 4-wheel disc brakes on this car... is it worth it? Can I get dustless pads for it? Where should I buy the conversion kit for the rear?

Also, are there other easy mods/upgrades that would be simple to do this winter? I am planning on doing all of the normal tune-up/service items...

Any thoughts are welcome.

Thanks,

how mechanical are you??? i will give you some bolt-ons to look into- CAI, longtube headers, x-pipe, cat-back, tb, intake manifold, new plug wires and distributor cap, solid engine mounts. some more advanced mods are 3.73 rear end gear, heads, and NOS.

for brake stuff, i think wilwood sells a good kit. but i wouldnt do it unless you are road racing, which i doubt you are since it is a vert.

you can find everything you need at www.summitracing.com

if you need explanation of anything just ask. that is what we are here for, to help noobies. congrats on the buy!!!
