Default Camshaft Removal

I just got my new cam yesterday, I have the waterpump, timing chain cover and harmonic balancer off. What else do I have to do to successfully remove my old stock cam?

Yes because you need to remove the lifters. So unbolt the valve covers and remove the rockers and take the intake off and remove the lifters. And yes use new gaskets. Good luck.

you don't have to touch the engine mounts
1. remove rad,hose..put in a 180 mr gasket stat
2. intake,t/b.etc
3. pull dist
4. valve cover
5 wather pump
6. remove ham.balancer
7. timing chain cover and chain
8. loosen rockers arms to pull push rods
9 pull lifters out
10. find a bolt to fit in the cam to pull it out not to nick any cam bearing
11. use moly lube on cam and lifters

You need to take the valve covers off lossen or remove the roker arms then take the push rods out and the lifters need to come out and it is good toput the lifters and the push rods and rockers back in the same spot they come from and yes unless you got the tool to get the lifters up with out taking the lower intake off you will need to remove it also the distributor needs to come out.
