new purchase and looking for some advise
this is the info i have on set up
just kind of looking for some professional info
how can i get a little better bottom end?
How far can i go with my timing?
Have some surging at times , can this be cured?
i was told it dyno’d at 300 rwhp prior to f303 install
any advice greatly appreciated
90 lx. 373 rear
Roush World Sr C.I. cyl heads, ported/polished and planed, double valve springs, HP aluminum rockers,
Edlebrock Performer upper/lower intake manifold (ported and port matched), K&N filter and intake tube.
Cobra 90mm MAF and throttle body, 9AL computer, with 24lb injectors

Ford high performance silicone plug wires, platinum plugs, MSD blaster coil, MSD digital control box with rev limiter

Exhaust - 1-3/4" long tube headers, 2-1/2" cat delete H pipe, through Cherry bomb Vortex mufflers, out polished SS tips

IIRC correctly timing is 12° maybe max up to 16°... but don't quote me on that. That was on my 93 Tbird with the 5.0 HO engine.

You can advance timing up to 14-16° as long as detonation isnt present and you're running high octane fuel.Make sure you remove the spout plug before adjusting timing.An open conical air filter can sometimes cause surging because of fan wash,especially if the maf sensor wasnt calibrated to that air filter setup.You can try doing the maintenance procedure to the 10 pin connectors too.They cause surging if the pinouts are loose or corroded.The second link explains how.
