Default Rim and Tire Question

I'm looking to put 275's in the back of my fox. I heard thats the widest you can go without messing with anything. So what size rims should I get? Would 275's fit on a 17x9 rim? I was looking at the pony r rims if they ever start making them again, what do y'all think?
