When you get a port job done for your intake, do you port match the upper and lower together? Or do you port match the lower and the heads? It seems to me the upper and lower would already match perfectly and you would want to port match the intake to heads... am I wrong?

polishing is when you make it smooth as glass, porting is the actual removing of metal

port to remove casting crap and to open the ports a lil more...then gradually use a finer grit stone/ paper to polish it to a slick finish

They charge by the hour. Around here it's like $57.00 a hour. Your best bet is to take it to a machine shop and just ask them.

you'd have to contact your local shop about the prices....personally i'd do it myself but I know how...you can purchase books and read articles then buy a porting kit and do it yourself
