That helps a whole lot... Basically your shaving the sides of your intake/heads to match the gasket and when both sides fit the gasket they're matched (obviously)</P>


Is this about it? Also, I'd think shaving the insides like that would create an egg shape... Uhhh kinda like this:</P>

Wouldn't that hurt? Funneling the air like that cant be too flowful... Or do you shave far enough inside that it doesn't crate the egg shape, it just is straight.</P>

Thet's the correct idea. You shave enough to match it out. Don't hog it or you'll loose low end power.

For every inch you go towards the port, a 2.5% increase in dia is beneficial (speeds up air flow), any more won't help. Or....go from the port and decrease 2.5% for every inch untill you reach stock size.
