Not to mention the stock ford alternator was only a 65 amp setup which is hardly enough for todays needs. If a swap from another vehicle from say a junk yard or such is the method you choose the lincoln lsc or the newer stangs mentioned are the ways to go.Either 100 amp or 140 both are huge improvements over standard 65's.

Yea but if she doesn't have a system or anything done to the ignition system. Her stock ALT> should be fine. GO get another mod with the money.

Yea but do that latter when you run out of things to get, or if it goes bad.

Shes obvious in need of it if shes asking.Im betting its due to a big audio setup. With everything in the car on like heat full blast, lights, turn signals and everything else you are at the alternators limit on a stock setup then throw in the other goods like high powered ignitions, stereos and what not and its not too long before you need that upgrade.

I agree though leave it alone you dont actually need it.But eventually you will need it.

U got it GM Killer. The reason I need a bigger alternator is #1 I have a pretty killer stereo system in my car. #2 It seems as tho my old stock alternator has kicked the bucket.. I thaught now would be a good time to kill 2 birds with one stone. I need a new one anyway.... so might as well forfill my needs with a pumped up alt.
