Default takin down the terminator

I have a 91 notch and my dad has a 2003 cobra a.k.a the terminator. I eventually want to be able to keep up with him. right now i have cold air,3.73's, chip, jba cat4wards, mac off road h-pipe, and mac catback. Also have a sr7 built aod with manual v/b and 2600 stall. I ordered the professional products typhoon intake(should be here tomorrow or monday) and in a couple of months i will be ordering a set of tfs track heat heads with the tfs stage 1 cam. Also i will have to change the rocker arms to be used with the heads. My dads 03 has a andersons racing power stack, magnaflow catback, and steeda triax shifter and by the time i got mine done some good tires. Will i be able to keep up or even beat him?

after all the heads, intake are done , i think the easiest way would be some rear suspension stuff , tires and a conservative shot , since hes on boost , put yours on the gun then . 75-125 thats all , hit it late not right away to be safe and i think you do it then . just hope he dosent get a smaller pulley

well I would port match the intake...I would buy a set of AFR heads instead of the TFS heads...you'll be glad you did! use a set of 1.7 rockers,70 t/b 76mass, but you need a set of drag radials first of all..but a air bag under the left rear spring..air up the front tires and run 15 psi in the rear

He wont be getting a pulley anytime soon. Still 2 years left on the warranty and the throw out bearing went out and has the pop in the irs. how do the afr's compare to the track heats? I'm afraid to run a 75 shot because i have 150k on the engine. Along with the heads & intake i will be replacing the fuel pump, fuel regulator, going with #24 injectors, and getting bfg dr's. Also the mass air, throttle body and egr.

will be a damn good race. vfast, he is looking into getting the track heat heads, not the tw heads. im pretty sure they will outflow the AFRs, but they are non-emissions legal, right????

150k on the engine? Maybe you should think about putting all those nice new parts into a fresh engine rather than the old-timer. Why not just rebuild it from the ground up? Buy a cheap 5.0 block somewhere and just drive yours as is, and build up a 5.0 that will kick the snot out of the snake. The notch is a great platform for a quarter-mile screamer, so you can do it, just takes time and money.

Yes REBUILD IT!And since its out anyways and you will spend roughly the same on a 302 as you would a 460 go with a big block and do the same mods as the small block just on the 460 and you will beat his brains out!Thats the only way i see you doing this and still staying streetable and reliable.Remember most of your 460's were already putting out some descent hp in those big *** boats they called cars back then.

Hell it would actually be cheaper for 460 if you were able to get some DOVE heads which are the good factory heads and do the works to them.I seen an article in an old ford mag i have where they took a 460 and did your basic bolt ons like carb, intake, cam, headers, milling the heads and they were able to get a 90's lx coupe to run 10.86 on slicks all on a budget of like 2500 i think.

You need a bigger motor to hang with that cobra for very long or very long and reliably. Those cars are f**king insane!
