Gear drive?

Default Gear drive?
Is it better to have gear drive timing set (like a Pete Jackson noisy gear drive)or double roller chain drive? What are the pros and cons?

gear to gear can never stretch, makes alot of noise...(like a blower)
double roller is very very strong though itself, probably won't stretch either. it's free
