Default Roll Cage

I just got done stripping my interior down to bare metal, primering and re-lining it. My next move is a cage. I am not sure which cage to get. I'm going to be running a high 10-low 11 sec. car all motor (357). Should I get a 8 point cage? And has anyone had any experience with any companys that they could recommend? Also, does anyone have a pic. of a 8, 10, or 12 point cage installed. BTW, I am def. looking for something w/ swing open doors because it will be driven on the street pretty often. Thanks alot. Its my first cage so ANY help will be greatly appreciated.

Dan

Look at the advertiser 'Peyton Chassis' on here.
Are you planning on doing this yourself or having done?
Hope you know how to weld/fab if doing it yourself.
None of the 'gasless MIGS' that run on 120V will have enough power to do it right.
Around here, installation is about $100 per point.
I would use an 8 point if thats all the faster you are planning to run......

I would just a cage like the one Quik has, a 6 point. If later on down the road you end up with a faster car, the cage can always be updated.

as for the price on cage that varies. at first it was 450 with the subframes welded in, then i took it back and had the tabs and side bars added in along with my anti roll bar, welded my torque boxes fully, welded my trans bracket. this was a nother 150 for all that add on. so i would have to say 600 for all the work ive had done. thats subframes, welded torque boxes, welded tranny brackets,6pt cage with side bars, and a shock tower bar, welded in anti roll bar and misc **** welded

also the prono red is gone!!!

I have a 90 gt vert. I want to get a roll bar for it. Something that looks similar to the lightbar for 90 mustang verts. I have been thinking about building it myself but that would involve learning to weld [>:] I want it fairly simple but affective as it will be seen every time the top is down. Any suggestions for place to buy one or get ideas?

If you don't already know how to weld and do it very well a cage is not the place to learn, think about what is on the line here, plus even who wants ugly buggered up welds on somthing as visible as the cage.
