I have found a sn93 paxton supercharger for sale with everything needed for install. The guy wants 700 bucks for it. I was wonder what ya'll think about these superchargers and the price?

Really paxton superchargers are junk, although I have no personal experience with them I always thought they were one of the good brands to buy.

well its just an old blower with a self contained oiling system, and its bearing drive... hard as hell to turn by hand.... just to old of a blower

While on the subject what makes a SC sh!tty as you guys put it?
The way I see it as long as provides boost wouldnt any supercharger be worth the money?

For example with the difference of a Paxton SC at 9lbs of boost and a Vortec at 9lbs of boost?
Boost is boost, its all the same to me.

Personally for 700 bucks I would buy that SC for sure, at least until it blows.

The CFM rating is no where near the new ones as well as how many K you can spin them, I think you can only spin around 40,000k. Its not that its a horrid supercharger just don;t expect too much from it in regards to power gain and durability, I also read the the impellers in those early Paxtons are weak....just like any old product they get more advanced with time.... I would spend the money on a good set of gears and a shift kit instead..... SAve up for a Novi 2000 then you are good for 8 or 18 psi plus they have held up awesome with durability

AS well these chargers take more to spin than the new ones hense stealing more Hp to run, and can only run at lower PSI.

Get the Paxton Novi 2000 Dude they are are amazing chargers!
