Default TB size

Hello all. Just bought this car about two weeks ago and am planning on doing a few things to it soon. It is a bone stock all original '88 GT with 3:55's, T-5, 5.0 HO, and so on. The guy that i bought it from works for Ford in atlanta and he bought it new in 88. It was one of about 5 mustangs he had, so its easy to see why this only has 27,700 miles on it. The factory plastic covers are still on the rear seats. The motor, exhaust, everything, has never been touched. I dont plan on messing with the heads, cam, intake manifold, or anything else major. Basically all i want to do is change the intake to cold air (in fenderwell of course), with a BBK TB, and full exhaust. What TB size is optimal for a stock naturally aspirated HO 5.0? This is my first Ford, and its my first vehicle with EFI. I've been building SBCs for a number of years and have never really messed with fords that much so i may ask a couple a retarded q's so just be patient with me please. Thanks in advance

Honestly if you dont plan on messing with the heads, intake, or cam. You dont need any bigger TB, But if you really want to, get a 65mm and matching egr.

I would get a full exaust before the cold air intake. Also get rid of that ugly luvers on the hatch.

THanks for help w/ the pics. On all the other automotive forums i use it worked fine, but i dont know what happened here. Well i would go ***** to the wall with this car, but i have trucks for that. Im a member at v8s10.org and have built 3 s-trucks so far with small blocks that i take to the strip. First truck is an 87 S-15 w/ a 305 that i stroked out to 334 with a 700r4 and 3.73's. Second truck is an 88 s-10 w/ an Olds 350 rocket and TH350 with an 8.5" 3.08. Third is a 97 s-10 w an LT1 from a 94 caprice, but i havent got a tranny for it yet, so it wont be completed til the spring probably. I know all you guys probably couldnt care less cause its GM, but i thought i'd share. As for this car im going to keep it as my weekend car, and not go too crazy with it. A 65mm TB sounds good bc i have a guy i work with that is trying to sell one cheap, its brand new too. The louvers are pretty gay, but i havent had the time to take them off yet. I was just hoping yall wouldnt notice. Thanks for the help
