ok last weekend i took the motor out of my peice of crap 91 Hatch and put it in an 89 Coupe that used to be a four cylinder, all of this in 3 days...so now that the motor is in the new body i cannot get it to start....i have no clue whats up....i dont get a fuel pump with the key on run and i dont get the motor to turn over when i turn the key...so guys heres where you come in...what do i check next??? i have gone over all my grounds and yes the fuel pump comes on when i cross the relay. But if anyone has any helpful info...or something that i should check please help me.....thanks....other than that i love the coupe...nice and clean and a better car overall.

Pull the plugs yet? What condition are they in? Check for spark? Turn the engine over with the plugs out see if any fuel mist comes out.... CArbed or EFI?

is the fuel pump saftey switch tripped?it is located in the trunk behind the trim panels

wanna sell the hatch?? lol All mustangs are projects....even the ratty ones... BTW u did swap the harness an computer didn't you??? If u did and hooked everything up from the old car it SHOULD run...

Have you just gone over everything again? I mean to swap a motor in 3 days is pretty damn fast. I would go through EVERYTHING and you might of forgot something small. I would do that and see what turns up.

ok went thru grounds again....checked the inertia switch for the fuel pump and all fuses.....yes the harness was switched over to the new car and im not even worried about spark right now because i cant even get it to turn over....i can turn it over from the EEC relay inside the car and it will fire but the starter stays on when i cross the wires so i cant leave it running.....it just seems like the car doesn't know that i am turning the key....because the key wont send a signal to any of the relays. so yea....im lost...ive been staring at wiring diagrams and following wires for 2 days..and i want it to run now

yes thats what i was thinking....so its an auto...where is the neutral safety switch?

the neturas safety switch is on the tranny by the linkage it is held in with two bolts any more questions hit me up got the chilton in front of me
