Well, I'm glad you decied to pry it from the outside, cause that's not the way they come out. They unbolt from the inside of the car, so you need to take out all the trim and panels that's in the way to get to the nuts that hold the window in.

lol, i think that the quarter windows were the easiest part of the car to get apart. haha, u take the bolts off, and go around the window with a putty knife.... its cool though, i broke a few myself before relizing how they worked

They are bolted in. Around the perimeter of the window there are 12 or so studs that go thru the body of the car. Remove the nuts. Originally they are sealed with butyl tape between the body and the window unit. Butyl tape is kinda like bubble gum, it does not get hard. If the sealer is hard, the window has been replaced and some hack used urethane. If it's on urethane...good luck. Since the window is already broke you could try using a utility knife from the inside while somebody pulls on the remains of the window from the otside. If you scratch any paint, prime it and paint it.

Mine also had alot of butyl tape on them. I actually just took a knife and cut right through it. It wasnt that hard. After you cut most of it off just pull it with your hands and it should come off.

but thanks for the "words of wisdom"
i was talking about after the nutz come off.
i really really didn't think it was just glued into place.
i was referring to the sealant. yes it's still pliable, but it's sticky as hell.
