95 Mustang GT ?'s
Ok, I finally found the Mustang that was too good a deal to pass up. Currently I am stationed in the US Navy in Japan, I found and purchased a 95 Mustang GT with 26xxx original miles for $3500. The car is in beautiful condition, inside and out/underneath, and has been sitting most of it's life. The only problem I can find is that the speedometer and oil pressure gauge don't work. I have ordered a new sending unit for the oil pressure gauge, new speedometer sensor and a complete gauge cluster. When I was driving the car today ,on the freeway, the overdrive quit working. Has anybody had this happen? If so what was the fix? New transmission or....? I checked the transmission fluid level and it is where it shoud be. Also there is no burnt smell to the fluid. Is there a sensor that should be checked or replaced? Yes, the O/D button near the shifter is selected.

Haynes manual is on the way, unfortunately it's not here in Japan yet. Relying on the US Mail system takes little more time than I would like. As for selling this sucker.... not a chance! You would have to see how clean this thing is to believe it. Looks like brand new and still has the new car smell. This is my first Ford product as I am a die hard GM fan until they stopped caring about their customer base.

Yea, I guess thats true. Thats a GREAT buy! I guess I would also hold onto it. Atleast you know that you can sell you cal 80,000 miles from now for the same price that you baugh it.

Yea thats a good deal. As blue was saying you can put 50 thousand on that and still get your money back probaly more. I have a Haynes and its not nearly as thurough and detailed as the Chiltons. It referes you all over the place in the book and the pictures are poor. I would look on ebay for a chiltons just in case. You can get one for under 20. Its money well spent.

5.0MPG, thanks for the advice on the Chiltons manual. I will get one on order today. I think that once I fix all the gremlins with the car it will be a lot of fun modifying. I can't believe how many bolt on parts are available for the Mustang.

Those gremlins never quit though! It really is a "love - hate" relationship. Once you think you have all the bugs worked out another one pops up! Then your cussing and kicking it and wondering why on earth you bought this POS!&%*$#@ Until you fix it of course, then you start it up and you hear that one of a kind 302 and you remember why you put up with it........... Kind of reminds me of my old lady eh!
Anyway good luck!
