Need Transmission recommendation

I have an 1989 LX 5.0 w 80K mi. The transmission needs a rebuild. I was wondering if any one had any recommendations on high performance transmissions. I might replace the trans altogether if there are some solid options. Car is a daily driver.

80k needing a rebuild i can gurantee it's aod

get a lentech.....a rebuild w/ a new convertor is about $1800-$2000

same price for new

Lentech if you are going to make any serious power or race it much.

if youre close i got a GER strip AOD with a few goodies that has a Lentech VB if yorue interested

2800 dollar value, only 5k in miles on it

what you think its worthwhat you think its worth

GER AOD.....
3200 nonlockup stall
solid 1piece input
2.84 svo first gear
wide ratio OD
trickflow deep pan
lentech VB with OD lockout
larger OD band

they claim this tranny can hold between 500 to 600 hp

i might also let the 24,000 gvw tranny cooler go with it/maybe also the auto meter 2 1/16 tranny gauge
