I installed the crane hi-6s with the ps-91 coil. I didn't notice any hp increase, but it smoothed out the idle, gave much better throttle response and increased my mileage by 2mpg. Not bad for a lousy $159.95 from summit. These low price boxes slightly increase the intensity of the spark and prolong the duration of the spark (with the addition of a good coil). The crane has a built in adjustable rev limiter also. The more expensive cd boxes add much more spark energy and come with more bells and whisles, such as dual rev limiters, spark retard for s/c or nitrous, etc.
