what is the difference in cost between the two and which should i go for?

It depends on what color your car is currently,

But iv heard that red is a more expensive color.

The color is your choice, red adds about 15+ hp dyno proven

? You serious LOL. But I personlly think that black looks a whole lot better, And its not true that red is more espensive, black is more expensive because the prep work has to be twice as better, than a reg paint, because black shows lines whole lot more than any other color.

actually black is one of the cheapest to be painted and some of the reds are the highest price and it still takes the same amount of prep work to paint both colors so it dosnt matter on that part. and if a place tells you its cheaper to paint red they do crappy work and i wouldnt suggest going to them. a candy apple red is really expensive to paint.

BLACK! i'd keep it white personaly but if you absolutly want to change it i'd go black, i think it just looks better, red fades faster too.

Keep it white! Unless you plan on paying $4000 for a paint job its not going to be good enough to cover up all the previous color....especially black....very hard to get a good result when changing colors...unless you want to spend the dollars!
