Help...what do i do with my cobra....
My 94 has been sitting for 5 months now un able to run due to the fact i took it apart with rebuilding the engine in mind....myself...didnt happen. Now my mother offers me that shell rebuild my engine for me and have it pro done but im telling her id much rather put the car back together it, get it painted then sell it for 13K (cobra namesake is a rarity in jersey, lucky i got mine for what i did at 77k, 79k on it now.) but more or less want 12-11k. Found some out of state cobras in the same year with lower miles (40k-60k) for 10-11k and some of them are S/C but a LOT of them are stock near stock, and really i want to put a blower on what ever the hell it is i end up doing, i know this much. Should i start at square one again with lower miles or am i really letting the odometor reading go to my head and just build that engine and get a s/c a year from now?
P.S. I love my mother, im 19, and i am grateful that she offered this to me, but as you can see im not all for digging in her pockets, but shes kinda adiment about it.

79k is nothing on a 5.0, if your mother offers to have it rebuilt that would be even better than finding another one that only has 30k ... just do it, save up the cash and S/C the one you have.

A guy around my way actually sold a 95 Cobra w/ 114,000 miles on it for $11,000. The paint was sh*tty, it had black interior that was verrrry worn looking, cracked tail light, and the trans was half dead. There are alot of rich mustang craving teens where Im from.

Mine was $8,500, nothing wrong at all. I thought 108k was alot, but the motor is clean and it sounds more tune than my friends who just had his pro-rebuilt 25k ago. I know I didn't get a steal, but I didn't get ripped of either, I paid normal I think.

Unless it was it had forced induction I see no reason to pay that much for a GT thats even in mint condition. Hell brand new that car was only $17,000. If I was paying $9,000 for a GT it better be in prestine condition and it better be running over 450hp. It would literally have to be like someone bought it in 93, put FI into it, put it on jackstands and let it run for 200,000+ miles and then sold it to me.
Hmmmm this is getting me thinking, maybe I should just get a few minor things done so mine is like, bam just really nice and sell it for like $11,000. Damn things clean as hell, just the chips in the front, and just buy one thats in better condition, but I still want the same car though. I don't know, i'll have to think it over more.

i almost bought a 95 cobra for $5700. "had" 130,000 miles on it. it did need tires and had a dented pass. door. but when i took it for a test drive the guy forgot to hook the odometer back up before i came. so i figured there was something fishy about it.
i dont think i would pay that much more for the difference in miles.
