Default Whats the difference?

I was wondering what the difference was between the 89-93 5.0's and 94-95 5.0's? I know the difference in style and what not, but what about the engines. I was just asking because I've heard that some fox body 5.0's, mainly the notches can run mid to low 14's almost as quick as the 99-04 GT's. Why cant the 94-95's run the same?
Thanks

For one 94-94's are a lot heavier, plus I believe the engine has a few restrictions on it. For instance the airflow on my 95 was low enough to choke a daewoo b4 I put in a CAI.

I think weight is the big difference in 1/4 times.

Actually many notches can run high to mid 13s from what I have seen, better times than most newer (99+) GTs. Most will however run a low 14 though when driven pretty well. I have seen a couple stock GT hatchbacks run low 14s and they are quite a bit heavier than notches. All of the cars have been sticks though.

Like others have said its mainly due to the wieght of the SN95 body style.

Well ford said they changed the way they dynoed their cars but I believe in reality the foxs had 10 more. Yeah the weight was different and also from 93^ they changed the internals from forged to hyperuetic, however the hell thats spelt.
