Default Odd noise and stopping of car

Whenever I'm accelerating in 1st, 2nd and occasionally 3rd gear, I hear a sound comes from the rear, maybe exhaust, and the car chokes for that instant of the sound. I thought this could maybe be a bad spark plug or the timing is off and theres bad compression being ignited but that's all I can think of...

Does anyone know what this isor could possibly be? Im getting worried cause its getting worse as time goes on...

Thanks for the help I appreciate any..

the best I can come up with is that the noise is the fuel pump and the cutting out is that sopmething is wrong with the pump and its loosing pressure and thats why its noisy

You don't think it could be bad compression or anything do you?

A fuel pressure check definitely.Doesa loss of power happen at high rpm? if so it could be wore out valve springs.Because of valve float.
