Default thinkimg of buying ’94 GT

I am thinking about buying a 1994 mustang GT. I have always been into mustangs, but i just want some more oppinions. It has 130,000 miles on the motor but it runs fine. I was just wondering if I could expect this car to hold up and\or how reliable the 302 motor is.

My 88' 302 just reached 200,000 mi. It has startedhaving noticeable blowby probably 10000 or so ago it still has decent power and is driveable but im going to rebuild it within the next few months. You could probably get at least another 40000 or 50000 mi out of yours if it has been taken care of and still race it .

You can't go wrong if you like this body style. It retains the 5.0 with some minor changes to the throttle body and linkage, with six (count em) catalytic converters for smog. But even with an eec-iv computer that was less agressive than the '93 on down, it made 215hp @4200rpm as opposed to '93's 205 and torque jumped to 285 at 3400rpm, 10lb-ft over the previous year.

Couple all that with a longer wheel base, wider stance and four wheel disc brakes, you got a winner. And all the 5.0 mods apply, so you can make it as fast as you want. I still can't get used to the modular motors, so this would be my choice for the next ride.

i personally like the 87-93s better. it is good cause it is a 5.0 though. make sure you take it for a test drive before you buy it.

i'd go with it i love mine bout it at 126kmiles form a guy who kept decent care of it. Main thing to make sure is that you check you tranny and suck if its a manual i needed a new clutchkit after about 10k (he never changed it) wasn't to hard and i'm not the only one who has had a similar ordeal. All in all i love it you get the 5.0 power in the newer body styling. Foxes might have you barely stock but it doesn't take anythign to mod. I already put a offraod h(no cats) mac cold air new mass air sensor( needed to fit cold air intake). I plan on makin many more mods as soon as i get it up and running again(see wierd noise post) but as for the computer bein a booger i have a friend who has a 94 and he had no problems whatsoever.
