i used the cheap non mass backed carpet because i didnt want to pay the extra 60$ or whatever it is.. I laid the old carpet over the new one and kinda made a pattern in which to cut, i just made sure to make the wholes small to allow for adjustment.. I also put all the hardware back in to know where to cut the wholes

i'm getting ready to slap mine in next weekend as well and i found your pics helpful. How did you measure were to cut? did you just line up the old carpet? i got the non mass back also because i'm also putting in dynomat well fatmat but it's pretty much the same. i'll have pics up after next weekend thats when i plan on completing it becasue i'm still waiting on more sound deadener.then i will officially have black interior can't wait.

to find out where to cut i put the old one on top, and lined them up as best as i could, and made the holes small so i could trim it in the car..... i didnt lay any adhesive down the old carpet wasnt even glued down... thanx for the tip vfast!

The carpet I got from 50resto had patterns for you to cut out that weren't covered by insulation, like the seat belt holes seat bolt holes...etc...I took my console completely out so I had to "custom" cut for my shifter but that was it. Just pull the front seats and rear seat lower cushion and trim pieces that the carpet goes under. Clean those trim pieces and paint if you'd like, I did, then get the new carpet in and put it all back together. I'd like to get a picture of the new carpet but I put the car away dirty unfortunately...we were dumped on with snow unexpectedly.
