Default planning ahead...

I'm going friday to pick up a used 3-point strut tower bar. Later on I plan on adding a few things to my car. Will the tower bar interfer with a H/C/I combo. Thanks for any advise.

it depends which intake you get, you'd be all right with say a cobra intake
but probably run into problems w/ a holley or trickflow

i think if you have no spacer you'll be ok.

i have the max ms strut tower brace on mine, i like it, but don't care for the room it uses.

i would have to drag my butt to the garage to see how much clearance is under it, to the intake.

then ask tf how tall theirs is compared to stock.

I have seen braces out there that make room for the bigger intakes. Just look around online.

well i didn't buy it. it wasn't what i thought it should look like. nothing compared to the braces at 50resto. to install, 4 to 6 holes had to be drilled behind the intake manifold for it to work. i'm in no hurry to buy one though, my mustang is not my DD.

thanks guys

Get the MM version strut tower brace its a 4 pt brace that clears most intakes.

that brace looks nice and sturdy. but it looks like you would have to drill holes in the fire wall for it to work. seems like it may be troublesome. i could be wrong though. the only brace i've ever put on was on a 99 maxima (brothers) and it was a 2-point.

this the one that i had first looked at.

what do you think about that one?
