i just got done with my swap,i have a 93 convertible, the drive shafts are the same.you will need the headlight harness also.it has the altinator wiring in it for the 8 cyl.the gauge cluster must be changed if you want the stock tach and speedo the be right.i put a c-4 trans in mine.easy install.the fuel lines must be out of a 5.0 car but the pump is the same.i dont know what year car you have but if you havea 87-90 you must use a those years harness.91 harness stands alone.if you have a 91 car it must have a 91 harness.and 92-93 harness stand alone also.the 92 93 cars moved the fuel relay out under the mass air unit .where as the earlyer cars had them under the drivers seat.if you need more info on the harness.give ford racing a call thats how i found out they were diffrent.now that i put the right harness in my car it runs mint.you will need the other stuff that has been listed in the above posts.this is just some stuff that i was confused on.

i totalled my 1992 5 speed, severe service mustang and i am putting all the goodies into a 1989 4 cylinder automatic. what a night mare. also have to extend alternator harness about 4 feet. the only thing i have left is my fuel pump won't run. i guess i have the wrong relay. i have a relay under the seat and now i have one under the mass air from the 1992 harness. what do i do now???? HEEEEEEEEEEELLLLLLPPPPPPP!!!!!!!!!!!!!

given that you have everything you need close and are fairly compitent it should take no longer than 12hrs at the longest complete swap fuel injected (harness and everything included) that is workinh HRS not BS HRS.
