Default Should I remove the MAF screen in the air tube

Does anyine know if removing the screen in front of the MAF sensor is worth doing? It looks like it would help to block debris but I don't think that new cold air induction kits come with a screen. Is it worth it?

I would do it, there is a filter before the MAF so there is no need for the screen there. all its doing now is restricing air flow.

I found a leaf once stuck on my MAF screen found it right after I bought the car, that was of course when I had the stock MAF, and you're correct the aftermarket MAFs do not come with the screens. But for a stock one, it's up to you, it won't hurt.
