Just a few things to get you started on your project-------
M-6010-R452 about $2400.........
You'll need a dry sump system for it to be used, another $1800 or so.
Also need 1 pair of M-6049-C3H Yates head castings they are about $1200 each, unfinished, raw castings, no port work or anything so they'll be $10, 000 by the time they are usable.....

Here's what I don't like... This guy says he want's a high revving v8, and you call him a ricer or tell him to go get a honda. For no reason, other than JD and a few others.

What's the 427? A high revving big block (maybe not that high, but it's made for high RPM power) Big bore, smaller stroke. Oversquare engine.

Huge displacement is notoriously inefficient, think of the F1 cars, 800 to a thousand horsepower out of 3 liters? Sick.

Don't flame because you're ignorant.

thanks
waxyourboard it seems to me there are some dumbass around here. just beacuse i like something that revs high i'm a ricer lol ****ing dumb the people saying that kind of **** probaly have not even riden in decent fast car.
and wait if destroking is so ****ty why do people destroke 400 sbc down to 377 all of the time that make insane upper power. or down to 350s and they rev even higher with more power. you know what i think i think any one who drives a slow stock vechial is a ricer lol. damn calling me a ricer beacuse i want a high reving motor. hell if i'm a ricer i'm still a hell alot faster then you.

I never called you a ricer, and I have built some damned fast cars including more than one NMRA class car. My point was and still is that you would be spending a lot more money than you really should just for the sake of high revs. And waxyourboard, big cubes are the most efficiant way to make big power (if staying N/A). All I was doing was giving you my somwhat educated opinion.

I'm still lost on the why part...If you put the right cam and valve train in it, it'll rev to 7000+. I'm just not seeing the point in reving it any higher. I get that you just think it's cool, or it sounds cool, but if you're trying to go fast...It's just not an efficent way to do it. You're looking at WAY more money than doing it with a bigger cube motor. But still probably going to make about the same power.
