Default STRANDED/BLOWN HEADGASKET/BAD GAS???

well i was heading over to meet TOMMYv8...filled up at casey's,and drove about 25miles.
then i slowed down for a car,and it just started cutting out bad. i stopped, popped the hood checked evrything.didn't find a damn thing took off,and drove about 1 mile, and
then it just started cutting out.when i looked behind i saw smoke everywhere.
i imediately shut her off..looked her over again, and when proceeded to start her up it sounded like i locked her up..waited then it fired up with a plume of smoke barrel of smoke coming from the exhaust.

anyways i waited, about 30min.stated it up and nothing no smoke no cutout.
started it up again let her warm up,and then it shot up to 180(i have a 160),and smoke came again.

i checked my dipstick, and it was clean, and no leaks, but my coolant did smell gassy to me?????i did add some stop leak in my radiator a while back..

so did i blow it? or is this some watered down gas???

is my bottem end still good?or do i need a new motor?
if anybody knows what is going on tell me!!!!!! thanks art.

p.s. sorry to tommyv8 for my mishap.maybe next time.

What color was the smoke? A head gasket can blow on the exhuats side so no coolant will get into the motor...I would fill up the radiattor and overfill to spec, dont drive it, just let it get to temp, let it cool down. Then check the radiator to see if you lost coolant. Then we can go from there.

that happened to mt toyota truck the other day, after filling the truck with gas i came home and never started again, after trying to figure out the problem i noticed the radiator was bubbling when we cranked it over , thats when i openedther radiator cap and it smelled like gas, to be sure it was gas i got a lighter and put it next to filler hole and it light up. then i told my mechanic and told me it was the head gasket.

if you wanna know if its watered down gas, pull out a few spark plugs and look at them, if they are SUPER clean... it may be a case of water in the gas. it happened in my probe. my plugs looked new... with 15k on them

starting the car with the rad cap off will also let you know if its a HG. as noted before. if its blown coolant to cylinder.. you WILL see it bubble
