The lower is the biggest pain in the ****, that lower took me about 6 hours to get there, and I am just starting to get parts ready to either paint or polish/

140 Grit roll to get the metal off with a smooth finish, then I am using that Mothers Metal Polish with a Felt wheel to do the polishing, I am getting that Tripoli shortly I ordered it a week ago to do the ports, we have no selection for this kinda stuff at any store around the area! But yeah right now they are just sanded with 140

Nice, just takes time to get it right the 80 grit is awesome to really grind material off, but the 140 is pretty slow to make it shin and get all the marks from the 80 out... and on some parts its hard to sand with with the grain of the metal
Good Luck

W/ the model 511's. I dont believe that they are as soft as they look. When I stripped all the rust out of my interior thats what I used. Its pretty hard and is really not that good for tight spaces. I got mine at home depot. I think it was 2-4 dollars for one. But they do make difference sizes and shapes thought so you might find some luck in that.
