I think I am gonna just go with fuel injected now. What's the model number for the computer for a 5.0 5 speed? Is it hard to tune the injectors?</P>

A9L is for Auto will work Manual is hard to find www.coloradomustang.com tuning fuel injected cars is easy if you gat a tuning system or spend about $1,000 dollars to get it done. <edited><editID>619socalstang</editID><editDate>38011.570625</editDate></edited>

you got way too much fuel. ppl dont need the large *** injectors. unless running a badass combo. throw in your stock injectors or use teh 24s and get a regualator

www.tweecer.com
and yeah, you don't need 30# injectors or the 75mm TB - way too big.

But get a tweecer and a wideband O2 and start mucking with it.

with a carb, you need an intake, dist, ignition source (msd, crane), fuel pump either aftermarket (holley, etc) or one on the block, and a fuel pressure reg. these few things will get you going. i like fuel injection, but if you get a combo thats not working, you better shell out the cash to try something else. its really hard to find the right combo the first time with fi. (too big injectors, or too big tb, or what ever) you better do some research if your going with injection

well fuel and throttle linkage are same thing, but i used the throttle linkage from my 86 with a carb and its fine. the 85 linkage works better only because its shorter.</P>

fuel linkage connects the carb to the fuel line and the throttle linkage connects the pedal to the butterfly. they are not the same thing!!</P>
