Comp Cams and Crane cams make many great cams for all applications. Is your a car a 5 speed or an automatic?

In that case, I would recommend either a Comp Cams 35-518-8 or a 35-522-8. I can get both of these cams. I can also get you springs if you need them. Let me know if you are interested or if you have any more questions. Talk to you soon.

You should be able to use the comp cams 987-16 springs, 730-16 steel retainers, 611-6 valve locks, and 503-16 valve seals. Those are Dual valve springs, upgraded over the ones you have now. Let me know what you think and if you want to go ahead and purchase them. Talk to you soon

with rpm ranges that swing 4-5,000 rpm an off shelve is fine.... most guys love that THEY have a custom cam only if they have it mic'd etc would see a basic off the shelve cam.....most people get a custom cam for whaen to make up for thier wrong combo and hope it works..any idel issues are handled via computer, which work inconjuction with all the engine mods

Nowhere near the truth. The only thing that resembles a OTS grind is the actual shape of th cam ie: it's long and has lobes. I got my cam LAST, thats right, after the heads and short block. Jay spec'd the cam, push rods, valve springs and recommended the intake to suit MY car and goals. Idle issues on MY car are controled by the carb adjustments.

i don't think my combo is mismatched, but it's nice to i have the right cam for my intentions.
i'm sorry i don't have a 1000hp car with a 7k redline, but off the shelf cams are hit and miss.

1) Any of the cam grinders can supply you a cam with as much of what ever you want.
2) there must be a 1000 cam grinds out there, if you don't see what you want at one, go to another.
3) I am REAL suspesious when a cam grinder advertises a cam and then tell me the specs are 'secert' or won't give me the spec's.
40 Get a copy of 'Desk-top Dyno' and just go to the 'cam math' part and start putting in differant grinds and then see how much differance there really is in the RPM range etc. Use that thing to help you pick a cam, I've been doing that for years......

You get the specs with the cam. Atleast my CamshaftInnovations cam came that way.
