Default Fuel cutoff switch...

I'm wondering if any of you have wired up a toggle switch from the fuel pump. I've been thinking about getting an alarm but I heard about this and it seems like a good idea. Anyone have any tips or instructions on how to go about doing this? What materials do I need? Where did you guys put the switch? Any help would be great...

i have never thought about this. but it seems reasonable. for ex...someone jumps in your car and trys to steal it, but the switch is turned off to where they will just burn up your starter. Or you could just run a switch to your sylinoid. it would be much easier. but they could pop the hood and probably by pass it.

This is called a kill switch. You can run them to the starter or fuel pump. You can find some pre fabed with keys on the internet. I know winner international use to make one. Some alarms also come with them and wont start if activated. I have a boatload of them if your interested. Check out my ebay listing.

That looks like a good alarm but its $20...why so cheap? I'm looking at viper alarms that run for $300+ with the same features.

Anyone else here have this alarm?

i had a viper alarm and it sucked. one day my car started going off and i couldnt get the alarm to shut the **** up, and viper alarms are wired to your ignition so my car wouldnt start up. it was a total POS! i wont ever buy one again. Best Buy installed it and it costed me 50$ for them to take the **** out.

yeah i've heard a few bad things about the viper alarms. I'm reading more about this alarm on ebay and I'm considering buying it...but I still wanna know why so cheap?

If I can wire up a cutoff switch for $5 or get a full functioning alarm with the kill switch for $15 more, why not?

Basically I picked them up real cheap. The manufacturers "The Club " came out with this line for a couple years but couldnt compete with Audiovox and Directed Electronics. Who are the big dogs in that industry. They folded "Winner International" and sold off most of the alarms. I know the rep for Winner International cause I wanted to do some homework before I bought them and he assured me there hasent been any defects. Anyway to make a long story short, Ive had one on my Stang for about a year and a about a month ago I found a lot of 60 same alarm for pretty cheap so I jumped on it. Mine still works great.

i remember black snake saying he had a switch off the top wire of the starter solinoid, that would be a lot easier to do than putting a toggle off of the fuel pump
