dont cut them off. just buy a new pipe for 125 or around that. one it will be 2.5"in diameter instead of 2.24 and a good pipe will have smoother bends. and besides you have 4 cats not just 2

in a nut shell. they balance out the gases. and add sound and power.. you have one stock ubt it has 4 cats on it

Default New guy here with a couple of

so if i get a new hpipe...does it like just bypass the converters or what ?...lol..sorry for being a pain...also...do ya have any idea why the idle would rev up &amp; down the 1st 20 seconds or so ?....also,what is the air silencer do and should i take it off ?

a offroad pipe removes the cats totally. it is whole new pipe that goes from the headers to the mufflers.

you idling is probably a vaccum leak. the fords are know for this. since they have hard brittel lines. that over years then to break. and yes remove your silencer for now. it will be worht the extra gain you get from it

ok...now i know what your talking about finally lol.....now ....can i get one at auto zone or will my muffler shop have one ?...what kind do i need ?

no you can pick on up from summit. the cheaper ones are made by mac, and pacesetter. i have a bbk. there are others out there. the mac is like 115[roft] and the bbk is like150
