17 - 9" Cobra R Wheels on 89 GT?
Has anyone run these wheels on a 87-93 fox body?

If so how did they fit, and do you have any pics? I have an 89 GT and was going to go with the Standard 16" Pony rim but was curious about these. The Pony rims are 16-7" these are 17-9", how much effect will the 2 extra inches in width have?

they will fit in fine. it is the most popular wheel for fox bodies, so it should not be a problem finding a picture of them on a car on this site. go through the MF photo gallery

Yeh there will fit. One of my favorite wheels for the 5.0. I would buy them, there pretty cheap. I can get them for like 500$ from Zims tires, and thats with my discount. I would get the orignal CobraR caps for them though, to set them off good, and so they look like the real CobraRs, but thats just me.

Okay thanks.. I have been reading up and I am finding that there may be some clearance issues if you use the 17x9" all the way around. Most people are suggesting getting the AFS setup with 17x8 all the way around or go with the setup they offer with 17x8 up front and 17x9 in the back. Any body running either of these setups on a a 89 gt?

Mustang95 you brought up a good point
Would 275s stick out of the fenderwell with the stock backspacing?
So on a fox what sits flush is my question I guess-
255, 265, 275?
I have 245's on my winter cobras and there flush with the sidewalls...

Has anyone lowred there car with the AFS 17-8" front and 17-9" rear wheel setup? I have the Cobra R wheels, black, and they look awesome on my all black car. I want to lower the rear about an 1" and not really drop the front. Is this possible? Is there another alternative without affecting the ride quality?
