Default 4 banger to 5.0 wiring nightma

i am swapping a '89 4 banger with automatic transmission to a 5.0 with a t-5 tranny. jesus christ what a pain. the pedals were a nightmare!!!!! anyway, i had to extend the alternator harness to the other side of the engine compartment and of course change the computor and engine harness. My question is why will my fuel pump not come on??? we straight wired the pump and the car fired right up and then went dead after about 5 seconds. hoping for a little advice before i go and tear something up. it is the 4 banger pump. hoping to run it that way til i get a little money.

and oh yeah. i installed an Imperial 16" fan and an Imperial thermostatic temp switch and relay. I forgot where the yellow wire goes. from the temp sensor in the radiator there is a brown and a yellow. the brown goes to the rerlay but i forgot where the yellow goes. antbody????

on a four cyl. car there is only one plug going from dash harness to engine harness by the brake booster usually a blue or grey plug round a v8 harness has 2 plugs if i can remember right you can use a 90/91 v8 engine harness that still has fuel relay under seat (driver) 92/93 harness had relay by mass air sensor i did a few conversions and got confused what years will work with what so i just swapped dash harness to v8 with 2 plugs in my case i've parted so many cars pulling a dash is not a big deal hope i gave you some things to look into.

i looked this morning. i have both relays in the car. 1 under the seat and 1 under the mass air meter. where does the harness start and end??? i had a 92 5.0 and swapping to a 89 4 cylinder. i guess the relay under the seat is supposed to run the pump in my 89 and that the relay under the mass air meter is not connected at all at some point.....but where??? i wire up $250,000 boats for a living but can't wire up a freakin' $5,000 mustang . hahaha

the relay by mass air you are seeing is a/c cut off if you have harness with relay under hood there will be 2 of them 1 for fuel and 1 for a/c cut off both are located by mass air.
