Default Damn pro 5.0

Ok I want to know how many of your guys have had a problem with your pro 5.0? I installed mine today and shifting into second is not as easy as it used to be and when I'm cruising on the freeway at about 60 and I let off the gas and let it go down to about 46 or so it pops out of 5th gear. WTH? Anyone else have these problems before? I mean there is only one way to install this so I couldnt have messed up. And damn I hear the transmission so much now it horrible.

Did you adjust the shift stops????And that's normal when you mount the handle metal to metal on the shifter..try taking a piece of rubber and put it between the handle and shifter base. That should help the noise some.

Well I adjusted the stop on the second gear but the guy that owned it before me tightened the day lights out of it and it doesnt want to budge......at all. I think I will do it this weekend. Can it kill my tranny? And I will try the rubber between the handle and base. Thanks.

On the instructions it says first and second. What could it be that its so hard to push into the second gear? Do you think if I was to complain to pro 5.0 saying something is wrong that they would fix it?

Thats for 5th gear, it pops out, so I will try to get in there tomorrow and adjust it and all. I did adjust second and it goes in all the way but it clicks into it. It's a double click and its not easy or anywhere close to smooth. Can it be a spring inside the base maybe?

Well the pro 5.0 is a very notchy shifter..i would just adjust the shift stops in 3rd and 4th gear where the shift stop barley touchs the handle and tighten it down..

I dont think the stop is the problem. It goes into gear and third, and reverse are no problem at all ONLY 2nd gear and I did adjust it just how they said to do it, screw the bolt until it touchs the handle then go back one whole turn and tighten the bolt.
