Default Rebuild cost

Can anyone give me a price estimate of what it would cost to have my 302 rebuilt?
I need new pistons, the cylinders bored .030 over ,all new bearings.......Pretty much everything on the block needs to be redone.
How much would i be paying if i assembled it myself and just took it to the machine shop.
oh and i already have new heads so that wouldnt be in the rebuild. Any suggestions??

Got to your local Kregan Auto parts, they have a rebuilt 302 Long block for under $1000. Its on sale right now. That is if you just looking for a rebuild.

But if you want to go performance its going to run you close to 2500. With machine work, pistons, rods, and labor if you cant do it your self.

Kregan=JUNK.........
Get with a local auto machine shop and discuss with them what things cost. There are huge price differances in differant parts of the country......

if your cylinder walls are bored .030 over then you have a 306 not a 302. you might as well rebuild it yourself, itll cost you 1/4 of what youll pay a shop to do it. then just add the stuff you need to it before you put it back in.

Hey black do you work at kragen or some auto shop? I got quoted 2400 for a rebuild on my 302 and they would make it a 306. But if you do this stuff yourself you will save around 1000 or more depending on your application.

Getting mine done for 1000 Bucks Canadian at a very reputable shop, but I get a 30% discount on all parts and labour! Gotta love when a dealer appreciated their clients!
