its made to run on 87, but my engine starts pinging if i use 87 so I use 89
use 87 unless you have problems.
i love Saleen foxes. could you post some pics when u get back?

using 93 octane will make less power you know?
increasing the octane allows you to increase timing, but if higher octane + stock timing = less detonation due to less combustability.
the fuel pump part i still don't get........lol, but just so you know.
like stated b4, on NA car use lowest octane possible. if it's hot outside and or your bumping your timing over say ? 14* you need more octane.
raise octane to :
1. stop spark knock (pinging, detonation etc.)
2. raise timing over where your are
3. it's hot outside ( really back to #1...prevent detonation)
4. your spraying or have a high compression motor (again..back to #1 to prevent detonation)

being in louisiana i use 93 octane because of how hot it gets plus if i use 87 itll spark knock. you being in texas and the humidity isnt as bad as louisiana use either 89 or 93, try 89 if that works stick with it. if not then use 93.

doesnt happen to everybody, but id put 89 anyways, most of your cars require 87 octane, my other car a 96 ford escort requires 87 octane but i put 89 in it anyways, its all about what you want to get out of the car, IMO the higher octane gas keeps everything cleaner. any 4 cylinder id put 89 octane but 6 or 8 id put 93 but thats just my opinion which everybody has their own.
