Default Ceramic or Chrome, how much difference?

Looking at buying some shorty headers and am really trying to figure out how much of a difference between buyng ceramic coated vs. the chrome. I know ceramic is suppose to disperse the heat better, but how much of a difference am I really looking at and do I need it?

I am looking at purchasing for my mustang which has several bolt-on mods but is my daily driver and will probably never see the track. Main reason for purchase is that my old stock headers need replacing and I rather upgrade then buy stock again.

Appreciate your advice and inputs

Don't quote me on this but I believe that having the Ceramic will probably make it easier on your engine. Do to the fact of faster cooling down period. Also if you work on your car yourself you have a lot less waiting time for the engine to cool. But then again that is just what I have been told so don't quote me.

Yes I got the chrome ones and after about 20 hours of driving the chrome turned into purple and gold looking metal and I wish I got the ceramics. [:@]

Everything I read says go ceramic.
I just ordered a set of BBK 15250's yesterday from summit - only $279!
If you intend to keep your car for more than a year, don't go chrome!

ceramic is junk also. after so many hours and heatcycles the ceramic does flake off then you will have a rusty pipe.
