Default buildin an engine

im building an engine for my 88 mustang lx convertible. im buying a 85 302 block from my friend. he has the stock heads from it but i dont know if i should buy the stock heads and just replace the rollers and pins and all that good stuff or buy a brand new one from ford racing. im trieng to set up a list for all the parts im goin to need, jsut to get an idea of how hard im going to have to work my *** off to afford this. if anyone can give me a list of the complete parts im going to need. and maybe some of the things im going to have to look for like compatibility. Im kind of just getting into this so i dont know everything about cars, but anything i dont know i can jsut ask my dad and he'll know. so i wont have a problem assembling everything just the process of which parts to get.
thanks
-Pat

I'm not sure if the 85 is a hydraulic roller or not, but I'd find out before you buy it. If it's not, I'd find one from a later stang (87-95?).

Your going to need a block, pistons, rods, cam, crank, heads, rockers, springs, timing chain, timing chain cover, accessories (ps, alt, brackets, ac, etc.), valve covers, u/l manifold, throttle body, intake, etc.
