I would go with BBK. I had one on my 88 GT and I never had any problems with it and it looked great also. No complaints here.

BBK or I have MAC fenderwell, no problems. Upgrade your MAF if you really want to notice a difference...73-76mm.

the stock intake is a cold air intake. slap in a K&N, cut the fender and replace the mass air with a bigger unit.

plastic doesn't heat up. metal does.

plastic does heat up, the metal get less hot than the plastic does...it will conduct less heat by the filter part and stay cloder longer than plastic....and the CIA is less restrictive cause it has smooth blends and flows smooth....as oppose to the stock box has those ridges, when air passes through it hits those ridges and causes turbulance. thats why the real gain from a CAI is like 5 horse and under, cause it helps the flow smooth...with the stock box adding a K/N will only give you 2-3 horse, for the free flowing filter.

I made mine from 3in. exhaust pipe and polished it. turned out pretty nice. Mocked it up and had a shop bend it.

I had extra pipe laying around A freind had some of those rubber connectors from his old one. The shop charged me $15 to weld it after hours and the air filter came off of ? Just a round 3in. cone k@n I sum how ame across that had been sitting in my tool box for a few years. All total with afew odds and ends about 25 dollars not including the cleaning kit for the k@n.
