I havent posted in a while. I am in the process of installing a 331 Dart block with a D1 intercooled procharger. I purchased the renegade bracket so bye bye power steering. I was looking at purchasing the flaming river manual rack......I do put about 2000 miles a year on my car. Does the manual kit steer easy enough for a weekend cruiser???

There is a post about manual racks prob on the previous page w/ some good facts/opinions. It should be bad at all. I am also curious to know what its like because I am putting a FR kit on my 88. Ive heard that its a little tough when your going slow to turn (parking, etc.) but besides that theres no problem. And I've heard that you also feel like you have alot more control of your car... which is always a good thing. Check out that thread.

Yeah I see that you guys just covered every question I would ask about the manual rack. I guess the only way to know is to buy one and try it out.

If your going to run skinnies on your car then it wouldn't be bad at all, but with a wide tire it a different story..Thats from my experience.

Get some muscles if its to hard come on. P/S hasnt allways been around. I had a 66 mustang for 5 yrs d/d not hard to turn at all if its not suppose to have p/s. Once you cjange it manual steering rack shouldnt be hard at all.

I have a set of skinnies and a set of saleen wheels 10 inches wide. As far as muscles go....... My wife drives my car to work from time to time.. Maybe I should start giving her protein shakes.
